Are you going to be a part of the international market and data intelligence team of BouwKennis, BuildInfoConsult? We have an open position for a fulltime analist, who will mainly focus on our international portfolio. Together with colleagues, you will collect data and information regarding the building industry and construction market from different countries within the European Union. Your main responsibility will be to build and maintain useful Power BI-reports, using this data. In order to do so you have a broad knowledge and interest, with an eye for economic, social and or policy-based  developments?

Your role as analist:

• You monitor developments that are relevant for the field of construction and building industry
• You create and maintain relevant reports (mainly Power BI)
• You visualize data and information
• You translate major development into actionable insights
• You also recognize bigger developments in small figures
• You make sure all of your Power BI-reports work well for all the different customers
• You help develop intelligent/advanced ways of (automatically) analyzing data

A typical day at the (home) office:

Your week typically starts with a brief meeting with colleagues. You discuss the ongoing and upcoming projects and you see where you can help each other. Probably there are some fast-approaching deadlines that you need to anticipate.

You take a look at the new data that’s at the heart of one of your projects and you discuss the developments with a colleague. Based on that, you’ll chose a fitting visual for your report. Later that day you’ll have a short meeting with a customer about the final concept of the dashboard you created.

Later in the afternoon you have some time to explore the possibilities of more advanced ways of personalizing our dashboards for customers. By trial and error, you select some options that you will present to the rest of the team. Together you’ll chose the best solution, so you can start integrating your ideas in our products.

Skills and experiences:

• Academic education level
• Knowledge of data (how it can be used technically, how it can be interpretated)
• You’ve worked with Power BI (or comparable software)
• Analytical skills (of course)
• You know how to build up something from scratch
• You have an eye for usability and design
• Teamplayer
• Fluent in English (German, Dutch, French and other European languages are an advantage)
